Flattening The Curve: Invisible City
香港一直是一座「看不見的城市」，
先是為殖民者和銀行家所無視，
現在則被拒於一場（在我們家中進行的）遊戲之外。
如果我們不為自己關注的事發聲，
就只有逆來順受，便好像
伊塔羅．卡爾維諾小說《看不見的城市》中
忽必烈被迫接受一個
「腐敗的壞疽四處蔓延、
已無可救藥的帝國——
一個無涯無盡、虛無的破敗。」
Hong Kong has always been an ‘Invisible city’
— first to the colonists and bankers
and how to a party to which we are uninvited.
If we don’t speak with our own voice of our own concerns,
we will be forced to accept,
As Kublai Khan does in
Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, that
“the empire…is an endless, formless ruin that
corruption’s gangrene has spread too far to be healed by.”
